Engraved signs & office plaques.
For a touch of class.
We engrave into various materials by chemically etching into metal, or in the case of plastic, this is often cut. Engraving is the ultimate way of producing permanent signs, which are very long lasting. These signs are ideal for Corporate and Company signs, often placed outside the building entrance.
We can produce engraved signs using many materials and the types have unique qualities of their own. We produce:-
- Brass Plaques - These are 1.5mm or 3mm thick and are deep engraved. The etched areas are usually filled with plastic for increased legibility, with sizes up to 24"x48". These types of signs are ideal for prestigious signs for name plaques and internal directional signs for the leisure industry.
- Bronze Plaques - Bronze is mainly used for commemorative plaques though they also make very classy company signs when a modern 21st century look is required and where image and durability are premium.
- Rigid Laminate signs - These are 3-ply rigid laminate is used for functional internal signs as well as modern Company signage.
- PVC Laminate signs - These are 2-ply engraving laminate used for exterior signage, durable colourfast and vandal resistant.
- Perspex signs - Engraving into Perspex, for internal or external signs is particularly attractive. It is used for information signs as well as plaques. Lettering can be engraved from about 6mm up to 150mm high. Panels can be engraved up to 30"x60".
- Office Plaques - We can also produce office plaques for your office or business premises with a professional and purposeful image. A traditional, polished brass, engraved name plaque, mounted on a hardwood plinth. Brass is the most attractive and long-lasting! We don't recommend lacquered finishes as no effective coating has yet been found to withstand the effects of acid rain. The occasional polish with Brasso is how many maintain it's natural beauty.
